Keitaro y Naru encuentran una consola antigua (SNES), por lo cual comienza a jugar un juego de rol, similar a Dragon Quest. Mientras tanto, Motoko medita en un templo cercano. En sus meditaciones se involucra en el sueño, creyendo que era el de Keitaro, pero en realidad es su propio sueño. Esto hace que vuelva a creer en que va bien en su camino.
